My favorite painting from Ed Ruscha says "That Was Then, This Is Now". I think Kris Jenner owns the original. I'm so jealous of her!
Clearly, I was thinking of this painting when I created my interpretation. I based the visual feel of this piece on a dream I had the night before its creation.
I hope, when you look at this piece, you feel a sense of possibility. Eternally, in this now moment, the old has gone. The new has come! This is now!
